Werner Anderson´s work has won him prizes and appraisals, both in Norway and on the international stage. Sony Awards: 3rd place in Still Life, Honourable Mentions from IPA (International Photo Awards). Double winner of the 12th Pollux Awards, EISA Maestro 2018 National Winner to name but a few. He has published books and participated in various multimedia projects and has been exhibited at the Norwegian National Museum of Photography, at Nordic Light International Festival and in United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Spain, Jordan and Ireland.
Over the years, working as a photographer for a number of humanitarian organizations such as the Red Cross and Norwegian People`s Aid in Gaza and the West Bank, Rwanda, Kosovo, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, South Sudan, South Africa, Ecuador, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Jordan, Lebanon, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. This influence may be why some of his artwork bears a resemblance to documentary style photography, but with a deep, subtle, poetic tone, clearly revealing the feelings and visions of the artist behind the camera.
When not working on a specific project, or in between assignments, his passion for photography has often led him on a path to encourage the next generation of young photographers in his local community, but also further afield, thus establishing Werner Anderson as a well sought speaker and workshop organizer.
